GENERAL CLEANING TIPS

You can save your computer maintenance cost if you clean your computer on the regular basis.

By default windows XP doesn't show the Administrator in the user list at the welcome screen. Here's a way to get around it.


Now head up to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ Software\ Microsoft\ WindowsNT\ CurrentVersion\ Winlogon\ SpecialAccounts\ Userlist

Create a new DWORD entry and name it as Administrator and change its value to 1.

Exit and reboot for the changes to take effect.

To change it back change its value to 0 or simply delete the key.

1. The picture does not appear

* Check to make sure the signal cable is firmly connected in the socket.
* Check to see if the computer system's power is ON.
* Check that the Brightness Control is at the appropriate position, not at the minimum.

2. The Screen is not synchronized

* Check to make sure the signal cable is firmly connected in the socket.
* Check that the output level matches the input level of your computer.
* Make sure the signal timing of the computer system is within the specification of the monitor.

3. The position of the screen is not in the center

* Adjust the H-Size, H-Phase or V-Size, V-Center controls.
* Check if the signal timing of the computer system is within the specification of the monitor.

4. The screen is too bright or too dark

* Check if the Brightness or contrast control is at the appropriate position, not at the maximum or minimum.
* Check if the specified voltage is applied
* Check if the signal timing of the computer system is within the specification of the monitor.
* Especially, check the horizontal frequency.

5. The screen is shaking

* Move all objects that emit a magnetic field, such as a motor or transformer, away from the monitor.
* Check if the specified voltage is applied.

Folder Options Missing

Many of us sometimes find the folder options missing in windows explorer.
Here's the solution-->

From Start button on the left side ,Open Run and type "gpedit.msc".
Now go to User Configuration > Administrative templates > Windows Component > Windows Explorer.
Click on Windows Explorer. You will find the 3rd option on the right side of screen "Removes the Folder Option menu item from the Tools menu"
Just check it, if it is not configured then change it to enable by double clicking on it and after applying again set it to not configured.
Restart Windows..

U wil find Folder options.
